About Client & Business Challenges

The client is an established metal packaging manufacturer at the regional level with developing business and in-house capabilities. At the project start-up, there was no ERP, so operations were on disjointed tools without an integrating platform for selling, inventory, or manufacturing.

For enhanced process transparency and less reliance on human-managed data processing, the customer chose to construct its ERP landscape from the ground up using Odoo 14 Enterprise, running on a private cloud, customized for 5–10 internal users.

  • Lack of Centralized Systems
    There were activities happening across spreadsheets and QuickBooks, with no consolidated view of orders, production, or inventory.
  • Manual Labeling & Reporting
    Packaging, labeling, and document generation involved a lot of manual intervention and were not linked to real-time information. 
  • No Existing ERP Environment
    The setup began from scratch, requiring full configuration, user onboarding, and custom development, without any historical data migration.

Dynamic PDF formats based on packaging, production, and barcode data.

Custom invoice layouts, sales delivery order reports with date filters, and personalized delivery slips.

Enabled partial production (child MOs), added support for breakdowns and MO numbering tied to specific packaging workflows.
